Harry Potter

Arguably still one of the biggest film franchises around; Harry Potter has no intention of letting go of any of his well-earned Sickles and Galleons.

Last year saw the news that a completely original tale from the wizarding world would be coming to a cinema very soon. FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM would be a prequel to the Harry Potter Series written by J.K Rowling. Once announced, the world was abuzz as to who could be starring in the hotly anticipated new addition to the Harry Potter franchise, until oscar winner Eddie Redmayne was cast as the lead Newt Scamander.

Today saw the news that a whole bunch of new faces are set to appear within the Harry Potter Universe. Colin Farrell and Irish actress Jen Murray have been announced to be joining the already impressive cast list.

The film will take place during the roaring 1920’s as novelist and magic-zoologist Newt Scamander takes on a dangerous quest as he documents a wide variety of threatening and exciting mythical creatures, leading him to write the popular Hogwarts textbook FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM.

Colin Farrell is set to play Graves, a wizard that Newt meets in New York, while Murray’s character will play a rival to Scamander and will have a common connection to a yet unknown character played by Ezra Miller.

Also set to star is Katherine Waterson (INHERENT VICE), Alison Sudol (TRANSPARENT), Dan Fogler (HANNIBAL) and newcomer Faith Wood-Blagrove.

FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM will reunite many of the original crew that were behind the HARRY POTTER franchise, including producers David Hayman and Steve Kloves as well as Harry Potter director David Yates who directed four of the eight Harry Potter films.

FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM is set for a Christmas 2016 release date.
