Since finishing AVENGERS: ENDGAME both Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth have been extremely busy on two new impressive projects to add to their growing CV.
The good news for you Avengers fans, is that they are two entirely different entities. DEFENDING JACOB is an eight episode slow-burning courtroom drama debuting on Apple TV+ and EXTRACTION is a high octane action flick launching on Netflix. Yes, of course you can watch both, but which one will you watch FIRST? The best buds have both got their new projects releasing on the same day!
So the big question is, which Chris will you watch first? Will you tune into Apple TV+ to watch the suspense drama, DEFENDING JACOB featuring Chris Evans or buckle up for the action flick EXTRACTION on Netflix with Chris Hemsworth? Defending Jacob – Starring Chris Evans

Defending Jacob is a courtroom suspense drama, consisting of eight-episodes. It’s a gripping, character-driven series starring Chris Evans, Michelle Dockery, Jaeden Martell, Cherry Jones, Pablo Schreiber, Betty Gabriel, Sakina Jaffrey and J.K. Simmons.
“Defending Jacob” unfolds around a shocking crime that rocks a small Massachusetts town, and follows assistant district attorney Andy Barber (Evans), who finds himself torn between his sworn duty to uphold justice and his unconditional love for his son, Jacob (Martell).
All eight episodes of the series are directed by Academy Award nominee Morten Tyldum, who also serves as executive producer. Chris Evans is also the Executive Producer of the show.
Extraction – Starring Chris Hemsworth

Streaming giants, Netflix are debuting this original movie on… you guessed it, April 24th the same day as Hemsworth’s best bud, Chris Evans’ show, which debuts on Apple TV+.
Extraction takes place in an underworld of weapons dealers and traffickers, and follows a young boy becomes the pawn in a war between notorious drug lords. After being trapped by kidnappers inside one of the world’s most impenetrable cities, his rescue beckons the unparalleled skill of a mercenary named Tyler Rake. But Rake is a broken man with nothing to lose, harboring a death wish that makes an already deadly mission near impossible.
In a recent interview, the actor said: “I think if I added up every action film that I’d ever done or every piece of action I’ve ever done in a movie, it wouldn’t even come close to what we’ve done in the last nine weeks on this movie,” the Australian actor said.
He continued, “We’re limping home at the end of most days, it’s the most complex, most real-life action I’ve ever done,” he added.
The film sees Hemsworth reuniting with his AVENGERS directors Anthony and Joe Russo, except the brothers are on producer duties for this one.
So, two very different projects, both are very good, so audiences will have a tough time deciding which one to watch first. Which one will you be watching diving straight into?
