Chris Evans was also joined on The Tonight Show by his brother, Scott

Aww, KNIVES OUT actor Chris Evans has shared that he no longer wears cable knit jumpers despite how much he loves them after making them as infamous as the film in the movie.

He has also been talking about his recent somewhat disastrous haircut of his dog, Dodger during lockdown with Jimmy Fallon on THE TONIGHT SHOW and his latest series DEFENDING JACOB on Apple TV+.

In the movie, KNIVES OUT, Evans plays the role of Ransom and throughout many scenes, he wears a rather lovely jumper, which even lead to a surge of these types of sweaters being made for ships which rapidly sold out. When Rian Johnson made his comical whodunnit, he probably never thought a lot of the talk – and buzz- around the film would be about a big white jumper!

Whilst speaking to the very lovely Jimmy Fallon about whether or not he was going to wear the sweater for Instagram, the disappointment about no longer wearing them was clear to see.

He said: “I can’t wear it anymore. It’s a shame. I don’t know if it works anymore.”

“I love that sweater – I love those sweaters. I love cable knits! It’s my favourite thing about winter,” he laughed. We can see how much he loves them – even his dog, Dodger has his own version! Maybe he is wearing now to hide his dog-dad’s fur shaving debacle…

The 38-year-old AVENGERS: ENDGAME star went on to discuss how he trimmed Dodger’s fur “right when quarantine began” and the success went to his head.

“It went great, and so I got a little confident and put on a shorter attachment and it just exploded in my face and I kept trying to fix it and eventually, I was like, ‘I just gotta cut my losses.'”

“The first time I did it, it was after a walk and so he was exhausted, so he was straight and flat,” Evans said, explaining that the correct way to trim the fur is going with the hair, rather than against it.

“But then the next time I did it, it was first thing in the morning and he had a lot of energy and he kept…as you’re bringing the clippers down, he kept twisting his body,” he added.

“I assured him I knew what I was doing,” the actor captioned a photo of Dodger, which showed a patch of fur that didn’t match the rest of the dog’s coat.

Chris Evans also took on the ‘Bro Couples Challenge’ with his brother Scott on The Tonight Show. Fallon had them playing a sibling version of the Couples Challenge, which has become a viral hit. Couples are asked questions and each is supposed to point to the person they think fits that question, and if they both pick the same person, they’ll get a point. Naturally, the duo smashed the challenge revealing snippets of information such as who was the naughtiest at school right down to who is the worst for having a shower! All is revealed below:

Earlier this year, it was revealed that a sequel to KNIVES OUT is in development and it will be based on Daniel Craig’s Southern detective Benoit Blanc.

The movie grossed $247 million worldwide on a $40 million budget, though studio Lionsgate is yet to officially green-light a sequel.
