Marvel are in talks with Chiwetel Ejiofor for a role in their DOCTOR STRANGE flick!Â
With THE IMITATION GAME star Benedict Cumberbatch taking on the title role in Marvel’s DOCTOR STRANGE, the casting for this superhero movie is off to a brilliant start.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, another big name is in talks for a lead role, 12 YEARS A SLAVE star Chiwetel Ejiofor – and if the rumours prove to be true, he will once again be reunited with his 12 Years co-star, the Cumberbatch.
With his name out there for fans to gossip about, there are a few different roles that Ejiofor could be in talks for. Some have connected him to a villainous role, likely a classic ‘bad guy’ character that finds Dr Strange’s wonderous powers too much to swallow.Â
However, others have suggested that he may take on the character of Wong, a monk servant of Strange, who is a martial arts genius.Â
All these rumours are open for discussion as Marvel have their lips firmly sealed over any information regarding Ejiofor and any possible characters.
Still, with a talent that brought brilliant roles in LOVE ACTUALLY, CHILDREN OF MEN and up and coming role in Craig Zobel‘s film Z FOR ZACHARIAH, we’re rooting for Chiwetel!
