Praise Satan.

Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is returning with a Christmas special titled ‘A Midwinter’s Tale.’

The festive episode will be the series 11th, after the first 10 were released in October. Bringing spooky to Yule time.

Based on the Archie Comics series of the same name, written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and with art by Robert Hack. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina follows half-witch Sabrina Spellman, who lives with her aunts Zelda and Hilda, and warlock cousin Ambrose in the town of Greendale. At the age of 16 she has to decide whether to become a full witch or embrace a mortal life. As Sabrina tries to reconcile her dual nature, evil forces threaten her and her mortal friends, as she enters into a battle of wits with Satan, himself.

The Christmas special’s official synopsis reads:

In the upcoming episode, the Church of Night, like all covens, celebrates the Winter Solstice –the longest night of the year–when families gather around the Yule Fire to sing pagan carols and tell ghost stories. But the holidays are also a time for guests and visitors–both welcome and unwelcome– you never know what might come down the chimney…

Before Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Sabrina Spellman’s exploits were more light-hearted both in the comics and on TV. Focusing on the teen’s attempts to help people whilst keeping her powers secret, the trials of teenage life, and trips to magical realms. An interpretation most famously showcased on the 90s series, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, starring Melissa Joan Hart and featuring Salem, the iconic sassy black cat.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina stars Kiernan Shipka, Ross Lynch, Michelle Gomez, Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lucy Davis, Miranda Otto and Richard Coyle.

‘A Midwinter’s Tale’ arrives on 14th December.
