Gambit is getting his own spin-off with Channing Tatum as the card wielding mutant! The Hollywood hunk will be taking on the role in the up and coming movie, with this being the first time he takes on a Superhero role.
With films like FOXCATCHERÂ and JUPITER ASCENDINGÂ coming up for the MAGIC MIKEÂ star, it looks as if Tatum is scooping up more serious roles. Hard-core mutant fans were a little dubious at first, to hear the 34-year-old would be taking on the famous and well loved character, but now that his role in Foxcatcher is rumoured to make it on the awards circuit next year, it seems that faith has been restored.Â
Initially, a treatment for the film was written by Marvel Comics writer, Chris Claremont, but now the script has been handed over to ROBOCOPÂ writer, Josh Zetumer.Â
Despite ROBOCOP being Zetumer’s first feature and having it go down with mixed reviews, 20th Century Fox seems to have confidence in the film maker, scoping him for the entire script.Â
