Anthony and Joe Russo are everywhere at the minute, but did you know that the dynamic directing duo are also producers on the upcoming movie, 21 BRIDGES starring Chadwick Boseman? Ahead of tomorrow’s trailer release, STX Films has released the official poster for the action flick, which you can see in full below.

AVENGERS alumni, Chadwick Boseman is leading this one and 21 BRIDGES has been directed by Brian Kirk largely known for calling the shots on LUTHER and GAME FO THRONES. He is bringing to life a script penned by Adam Mervis.

The movie tells the story of a disgraced NYPD detective, played by Boseman who is given a shot at redemption. Thrust into a citywide manhunt for a cop killer, he begins to uncover a massive conspiracy that links his fellow cops to a criminal empire and must decide who he is hunting and who is actually hunting him. During the manhunt, Manhattan is completely locked down for the first time in its history — no exit or entry to the island including all 21 bridges.

Chadwick Boseman is in good company here, as the film boasts a brilliant cast. Joining him on the big screen is J.K. Simmons (Counterpart), Sienna Miller (American Sniper), Taylor Kitsch (Waco), Morocco Omari (Empire), Keith David (Night School) and Stephan James (Beale Street Could Talk).

Chadwick Boseman - 21 Bridges

The movie is a world away from what many Boseman fans might expect to see who loved watching him as T’Challa in BLACK PANTHER and AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR. We can’t wait to see more of this when the first trailer for the movie drops.

The Russo Brothers, who directed Boseman in INFINITY WAR, are collaborating together on producers duties with production partner Logan Coles. Mike Larocca serving as executive producer for The Russo Brothers’ AGBO banner. What do you think of the response for the original documentary?

What do you think of the poster for the movie? Is this a good movie choice for Chadwick Boseman? As always, we like to know your thoughts, so leave a comment below, tweet us @filmandtvnow or drop us a comment on our Facebook page.
