It seems that once again Bryce Dallas Howard will be stepping back into the jungle, – it’s nothing to do with dinosaurs or JURASSIC WORLD, but for a new role. She has joined the cast of Stephen Gaghan’s (SYRIANA, TRAFFIC) upcoming mining drama, GOLD.
Bryce Dallas Howard will be playing Kay, the longtime girlfriend of Matthew McConaughey‘s character, whose capacity and loyalty are tested as the hunt for gold pushes their relationship to its breaking point.
McConaughey plays Kenny Wells, a modern-day prospector and hustler desperate for a lucky break who teams up with a equally luckless geologist. The pair then make a plan to find gold deep in the uncharted jungles of Indonesia.
Completing the casting ensemble for GOLD is Edgar Ramirez, Corey Stoll, Toby Kebbell, Rachael Taylor, Bruce Greenwood, and Stacy Keach.
GOLD is already mid-way through production in New Mexico but will wrap up its shoot in New York by October.
There is no official release date just yet, but it is expected to debut at some point in 2016. Bryce Dallas Howard will also return for the JURASSIC WORLD sequel, which is set for a June 22nd, 2018 release.
