Could there be another reunion between Miles Teller and Shailene Woodley? It certainly seems that they may reunite on the big screen once more in the survival film, Adrift.
According to THR, Miles Teller (Whiplash, The Spectacular Now) is in discussion to join Shailene Woodley (Divergent, The Fault In Our Stars) in the upcoming survival film ADRIFT from STX Entertainment.
In the director’s chair for this one is Baltasar Kormakur (Everest). ADRIFT is based on the true story about “woman who sets off on a sailing trip to Tahiti with her fiance. But after a massive storm, the woman finds herself alone at sea with her boat in ruins.” It is believed that the story looks back on their relationship as she attempts to save them on the 1,500 mile trip to Hawaii. Teller would play Woodley’s husband in the film.
The screenplay has been penned by Aaron and Jordan Kandell (Disney’s Moana).
Miles Teller can next be seen on the big screen in the true-life fire fighting story GRANITE MOUNTAIN, which is scheduled for release September 22nd, 2017 and the PTSD film THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE, based on the 2013 based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book of the same name by David Finkel.
It seems the man be no fan of rest as he also has another project in the pipeline: the upcoming original Amazon drama series TOO OLD TO DIE YOUNG, which is being helmed by Nicolas Winding Refn.
ADRIFT is set to go into production this summer.
