On Thursday evening, London’s Leicester Square’s Odeon Luxe was decked out with a dark blue carpet ready for the Aladdin European Gala for Disney’s live-action movie.

The gala was jam packed with excited fans who were looking forward to catching a glimpse of the incredible cast and they weren’t disappointed. In attendance was the movie’s director, Guy Ritchie who was joined by the cast Will Smith, Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott and Marwan Kenzari to name but a few.

They took their time posing for selfies and signing autographs for the waiting fans before carrying out their media duties. Take a look at what they had to say about ALADDIN in their European Gala interviews below:

The film sees Will Smith (Ali, Men in Black) star as the Genie in the new film alongside Mena Massoud (Amazon’s Jack Ryan) as Aladdin, the hapless but lovable street rat who is smitten with the Sultan’s daughter.

Naomi Scott (Power Rangers) stars as Princess Jasmine, the Sultan’s beautiful daughter who wants to have a say in how she lives her life with Marwan Kenzari (Murder on the Orient Express) as Jafar, an evil sorcerer who devises a nefarious plot to unseat the Sultan and rule Agrabah himself.

The superb casting doesn’t stop there, as the movie also stars Navid Negahban (Homeland) as the Sultan, Nasim Pedrad (Saturday Night Live) as Dalia, Billy Magnussen (Into the Woods) as Prince Anders, and Numan Acar (Homeland) as Hakim, Jafar’s right-hand man and head of the palace guards.

Aladdin trailer

Aladdin is being brought to the big screen by Guy Ritchie – a very different style of movie compared to some of his previous ones including Sherlock Holmes and The Man From Uncle.

The script has been penned by John August (Dark Shadows, Big Fish) based on the 1992 animated film Aladdin and stories from “One Thousand and One Nights.”
