Nick Park, the mind behind iconic British films and shorts such as Wallace and Gromit, Chicken Run, and Shaun the Sheep, is back with a first-look at his upcoming feature film currently in production and scheduled for release in 2018. There’s no bones about it, Early Man looks like a prehistoric adventure worth waiting for.

Following the success of the Shaun the Sheep Movie in 2015, which grossed over $100 million worldwide, Aardman Animations has released a little sneak peak at their next feature film. Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne stars as the protagonist ‘Dug’ who, along with his sidekick ‘Hognob’, must unite his tribe of cavemen in order to save the day. Nick Park’s animation may have come a long way from his first Wallace and Gromit shorts with fingerprints in the plasticine, but his talent for creating engaging and eye-catching characters appears to remain.

With a trophy case overflowing with awards between the lead actor and creative minds behind the film, plus dinosaurs added to the mix, Early Man certainly seems like a recipe for success.
