IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA kicks off its 13th season in the US, and the burning question is when will Dennis return. The Reynolds twin, played by Glenn Howerton, left Paddy’s pub and Philadelphia in the season 12 finale after discovering he had a son.

Howerton told Entertainment Weekly in January that he hadn’t left the show, and while he didn’t feature in the new season trailer – excluding the Dennis doll – we’re left anticipating his homecoming. As we try to contain our own rage over Dennis’ assumed long-term absence, let’s look back at his most fury-filled moments.

1. When Charlie (and Frank) interrupted Dennis’ plan to repay the mob.

2. When Dee wouldn’t peel an apple for Dennis.

3. When Dennis couldn’t retrieve his film script.

4. When Dennis returned to his old fraternity house.

5. When Dennis wanted a room with a working television for Dee.

6. When Dennis and Dee tried to make Frank see the Christmas spirit of giving.

7. When the girls Dennis invited to a party turned out to have boyfriends.

8. When Dennis was rejected at the school reunion.

9. When the gang acted like they were in a real courtroom.

10. When Dennis was rated one star on a group dating app.

11. When Dennis was a genuine psychopath.

12. When Mac got his face scratched by Dennis for not looking him in the eyes.

13. When Dennis took offence to his car being purchased “as a starter car” for someone’s daughter.

14. When an honesty session with Dee turned sour.

15. When Dennis was done with the suburbs.

16. Including his neighbour Wally.

17. And the smoke detector.

18. And when Dennis couldn’t hold the gangs attention for his presentation.
