A brand-new trailer for the romantic drama THE GOLDEN AGE (L’AGE D’OR) – which opened this year’s London Independent Film Festival 2020 at the Genesis Cinema in Mile End, East London – has been released online.

Multi-hyphenate talent Jenna Suru, who wrote, produced, directed and stars in the film, is very pleased with the reaction so far.

Set in 1967 when the Vietnam War was hotting up, THE GOLDEN AGE is the tale of penniless French/American producer Sebastian Davis (Sebastien Cipolla) on an exodus from problems back in the USA, who meets theatre actress Angèle Devaux (Suru), who has grand plans beyond to make her dreams come true.

THE GOLDEN AGE (L'AGE D'OR)

In a era when the mega-blockbusters from the likes of Disney with the STAR WARS sequels and MARVEL COMICS UNIVERSE which hit a multi-billion peak with the last of the first chapter of films, AVENGERS: ENDGAME, THE GOLDEN AGE (L’AGE D’OR) harks back to a more simpler time amidst an equally complicated world punctuated and hounded by immeasurable conflicts throughout the world.

Suru describes the film as a love letter to Saint-Tropez – and thanks to the never-changing landscape on film, it is a chance for audiences to discover the virtues of such a place for themselves in the context of an independently-shot film.

THE GOLDEN AGE (L'AGE D'OR)

The film was one of a select few that was able to play at the Genesis before the lock-down happened – and the new trailer encapsulates the spirit of this film that was well received during its’ London debut and continues to build considerable interest in the film.
