Film fans will be pleased to know that the line up for the 58th London Film festival went live this morning (3rd September) at 10am.

The BFI Twitter page tweeted whilst it was going on but the full line-up is now online, and by the looks of things we’re in for a real treat.

In the gala section and opening the festival on the 8th October is the Alan Turning biopic, The Imitation Game starring Sherlock and GQ Man of the Year award winner, Benedict Cumberbatch.

Other films amongst the gala section include Foxcatcher about the power of film and money, Whiplash which tells the story of a gifted drummer and Testament of Youth based on the bestselling book of the same name starring Game of Thrones Kit Harrington.

 There are varied films amongst the fifteen categories. These include The New Girlfriend and The Falling in the Official Competition section, Butter on the Latch and Catch me Daddy are competing for the title for the First Competition Category.

The documentary section includes National Gallery, Frederick Wisemans portrait of the British National Gallery and The Possibilities are Endless about a singers recovery from a stroke.

With all of these bound to be amazing films and Fury starring Brad Pitt closing the ceremony, the 58th London Film festival is bound to be one to remember,  so if you’re planning on a trip to London come along and get involved.
