STAR WARS: EPISODE VII has resumed production after Harrison Ford’s on-set injury halted filming.

Star Wars Episode 7

Good news for the cast and crew of STAR WARS: EPISODE VII, filming has resumed once again this week at Pinewood Studios in the U.K.

Harrison Ford injured himself on the set of Lucasfilm and Disney’s project in June. It is believed he broke his leg in an incident involving the Millennium Falcon, the spacecraft that his character pilots in the original films.  Due to the injury, the American actor underwent surgery and production came to a stand still for two weeks in early August.

The 71-year-old will star alongside a host of newcomers including John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Lupita Nyong’o and Max von Sydow with J.J. Abrams directing.

Star Wars: Episode 7 is set 30 years after the events of RETURN OF THE JEDI and plot details are still yet to revealed.

Despite the delays to filming, it will not affect the film’s release date, which is set for 18th December, 2015.
