Rumours are abound that Netflix may be green lighting a Marvel spinoff series based around Jon Bernthal’s the Punisher.
We are yet to see Bernthal’s version of Frank Castle in action until season 2 of DAREDEVIL airs. The first episode of the new season arrives on Netflix, March 18th, 2016 yet even without having seen any of the new, upcoming action, TV Line reports that early responses to the character are so strong that Netflix is on the verge of giving the Marvel vigilante his own series. Bernthal has become a popular TV presence since his role in Fox’s THE WALKING DEAD, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see him lead a spin-off of his own.Â
We have already seen Bernthal in a new official photo which has been released from the new season and we were also given our first look at newcomer, Elektra.Â
With the release drawing ever closer, we are looking forward to hearing just what to expect from the season and to finally see Bernthal’s Punisher in action.
