The first trailer for CRIMSON PEAK has been leaked online, ahead of its planned release on Tuesday, providing fans with an early sneak peek at Guillermo Del Toro’s latest gothic fantasy.
The star-studded cast includes Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain and Charlie Hunnam, the horror flick is without doubt one of the most anticipated films of the year.
In the trailer, we see an age-old mansion situated in Northern England in the 19th century, as we witness Mia Wasikowska in one of the lead roles as Edith Cushing, fall in love with Tom Hiddleston’s Thomas Sharpe, only to discover that her new hubby isn’t what he appears to be – and neither is the house…
As the trailer states, ‘between desire and darkness, mystery and madness, lies the peak of fear…‘ and the trailer has certainly shown all of that! We see prolific director Del Toro at the helm of this movie in his first return to the genre since PAN’S LABYRINTH and he does not disappoint.
We see Mr Hiddleston and Ms Wasikowska whisk us away in another gothic tale of love and the supernatural and it has certainly got our attention…
