The media and promotion force has certainly awoken for the latest instalment from the STAR WARS franchise as THE FORCE AWAKENS has pulled in a new record amount of ticket sales. The cast and creators of the film have been busy with their promotions of the film – not that it needs much promoting – with the premiere on Wednesday evening in London’s Leicester Square and on Thursday, they participated in a press conference with media from across the globe present.

In attendance at the press conference at the Corinthia Hotel in London was director J.J. Abrams, screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan and co-stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Daisy Ridley, Lupita Nyong’o, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie and John Boyega – who arrived 15 minutes late, which you can see in the footage above.

Apologies, I overslept,” he told journalists during the conference, before admitting that he’d had a “very, very, busy night“. – We can imagine, John!

Also during the press conference, Harrison Ford was asked for his thoughts on the upcoming STAR WARS spin-off film featuring a much younger version of his iconic character Han Solo, but he seemed very disinterested in the project and told journalists that he wants “nothing to do with it“.
