What if your life depended on a stranger? Fight for survival in the first look trailer of the against-all-odds epic, THE MOUNTAINS BETWEEN US starring Academy Award winner Kate Winslet and Idris Elba. Check out the fantastic footage in the video player above.
The film is being brought to the big screen by Hany Abu-Assad who is in the director’s chair for this one. The film stars a fantastic dynamic duo in the form of Kate Winslet and Idris Elba. Those names alone should be enough to draw lots of interest in this movie already, right? We certainly can’t wait to see more of them together onscreen.Â
Here is the official synopsis for the film:Â Stranded after a tragic plane crash, two strangers must forge a connection to survive the extreme elements of a remote snow covered mountain. When they realise help is not coming, they embark on a terrifying journey across hundreds of miles of wilderness, pushing one another to endure and igniting an unexpected attraction.
We still have a little while before we can see more from this one, as THE MOUNTAIN BETWEEN is not scheduled for release in the UK until October 20th. We are crossing off the days on our calendar already!
