On Saturday evening, the cast and creators of upcoming biopic THE DANISH GIRL arrived in style for the film’s premiere at the Venice International Film Festival.
Under the bright evening lights of Venice, Eddie Redmayne, Alicia Vikander, Amber Heard, Matthias Schoenaerts and the film’s director Tom Hooper attended the event to showcase their newest film.Â
Many excited fans lined the red carpet in their droves for a chance to meet the stars and pose for the all-important selfies with the cast and creators. It was a busy couple of hours where they posed for pictures and signed autographs with the waiting fans.Â

The movie, set in the 1920s, is a love story about how Wegener, a painter, was persuaded by his wife Gerda Waud (Vikander) – who was also an artist – to pose for her in women’s clothes after one of her models failed to show. In time, he became Lili and started on the transformation into a woman.Â
