This is definitely a film we are looking forward to and the new FENCES trailer has not disappointed… It boasts a great cast, fantastic story and has certainly shone on the stage in the past. Take a look at the trailer above!
Denzel Washington is on double duty for this one: starring in the film and also calling the shots for it too. He is joined on screen with good company in the form of Viola Davis, Jovan Adepo, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Russell Hornsby, Mykelti Williamson and Saniyya Sydney.Â
Adapted from August Wilson‘s Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play, Wilson has also penned the screenplay for the movie too.
In FENCES, the movie tells the story of an African American father and League baseball player, who also works hard as a garbage man. He is experiencing race problems in the United States as he tries to raise his family in the 1950s, whilst dealing with all of the problems that surround their everyday life during this difficult time in Pittsburgh.

Washington and Davis know their characters and roles well, as they starred in the Broadway version of the film back in 2010, with the duo winning coveted Tony Awards in the Best Actor and Best Actress categories.Â
Could this film prove to be yet another Oscar-winning performance for Washington? Who knows, but he certainly seems as though he stands a good chance from what we have seen so far from the trailer.Â
