The TV Choice Awards took place at the London Hilton Park Lane last night.

Amongst the attendees were the casts of our much loved favourite soaps including Eastenders, Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks as well as the casts of Sherlock, Game of Thrones and Britain’s Got Talent winners Collabro.

Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway won the Best Entertainment award whilst Collabro picked up the award for Best Talent Show for Britain’s Got Talent.

Best Reality Show was picked up by the team of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and Happy Valley was crowned best new drama.

Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams accepted the award on behalf of her cast mates who won the away for Best International Show and the cast of Benidorm were over the moon to win Best Comedy.

Sherlock was announced the winner of Best Drama Series being picked up by the likes of Louise Breely and creator Mark Gattis whilst Benedict Cumberbatch’s parents collected his award for Best Actor in the popular TV show.

The cast of Educating Yorkshire were the proud winners of Best Factual and Educational Show, Sarah Lancashire won Best Actress for her role in Happy Valley and Best Food Show was awarded to Gordon Ramsey.

Corrie was awarded Best Soap Storyline for Hayley’s cancer and Lindsey Coulson won Best Actress in a soap.

Best Soap Newcomer was won by Kirsty Leigh Porter for her role in Hollyoaks and Danny Dyer was crowned Best Actor in a soap for his role as Mick in Eastenders.

A final win for Eastenders as they also picked up Best Soap.
