For those of you who have been looking forward to watching the first glimpses of footage from the upcoming movie, PILGRIMAGE, well the wait is over. Yahoo have revealed the first look trailer for the movie, which you can take a look at in the video player above.
The film, which is scheduled to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, boasts a super cast with  SPIDERMAN: HOMECOMING’S Tom Holland on board for this one. The film is set in the 13th-century and he plays a monk embarking on a journey to transport an ancient relic across Ireland.
In A.D. 1209, Holland is joined on his expedition by his fellow monks Richard Armitage (The Hobbit, Brain On Fire) and Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead, The Punisher) who must ensure that they bring a legendary artifact with biblical origins to Rome, where they believe it will be safe from those who seek to wield its power.
However, as with all dangerous missions, things take a difficult turn when word spreads of their expedition and they are suddenly hunted by many who seek the treasure they carry.Â
With a super cast and interesting medieval storyline, we are looking forward to watching this one. In the director’s chair for PILGRIMAGE is Brendan Muldowney, who has brought to life Jamie Hannigan‘s script, which was shot on location in Ireland and Belgium.
PILGRIMAGE is scheduled to hit cinemas and on August 11th.Â
