It is always great to see (or hear in this case) the big voices of Hollywood striving to make a difference for a good cause and Tom Hardy, Casey Affleck and Priyanka Chopra have done just that by featuring in a new advert for PETA, which you can see below.
In a new video for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, Tom Hardy, Casey Affleck, Priyanka Chopra, Edie Falco, Bill Maher and more celebrities have lent their famous voices to pet dogs who are mistreated by being forced to spend their entire lives chained up outside.
The aim of the video is to show how many dogs are not treated as part of the family in the home and rather left outside throughout the year battling the worst weather conditions and left disregarded.
The footage is a heart-breaking watch, which has come from PETA fieldworkers, who have dedicated their lives to helping neglected pets.
The words will melt even the coldest of hearts as dog-lover, Tom Hardy questions: “When you first got me, did you know that you were going to chain me up and leave me outside? Even in the cold and snow?’
MANCHESTER BY THE SEA star, Casey Affleck says on behalf of a chained-up dog,“ Did you know that you would leave me to fend for myself, even when it was pouring down raining and I had no way of keeping dry?”
Hopefully, their involvement will help to bring home the important message of treating our four-legged best friends as part of the family – and especially during the winter months when they need to be indoors.
