The Hobbit Teaser Trailer
The Hobbit Teaser Trailer has finally been released.

The lucky souls who were at the San Diego Comic Con may have already seen the teaser trailer amongst the bustling crowd of Hall H, but for the rest of us, we finally get to see it! How would we describe it? In a word, WOW.

Set to the haunting music of Howard Shore featuring Billy Boyd, the trailer teases us with all of the drama and battle scenes set to come and explode on the big screen in December.  The trailer doesn’t give too much away as to the aftermath of the dragon Smaug’s (Benedict Cumberbatch) visit to Lake Town where he was off on a mission to set the city alight citing “I am fire.  I am death.”

Ever since production of The Hobbit began, the one film which has had everybody talking with excitement is the final instalment, where the conflict between the five armies takes place between the goblins and warts who square off against dwarves, elves, men and giant eagles (the remaining four smaller armies) in a quest to gain control of Erebor (the Lonely Mountain).  Thorin and his army are fighting in desperate vain to back and regain their treasures, which Smaug had stolen from them.

The big problem for the Company is not just Smaug the Stupendous, but the deadly Necromancer (also played by Benedict Cumberbatch), who is likely to throw a spanner in the works and ruin their plans.

After three wonderful years, the trilogy will finally come to an end and Peter Jackson’s vision realised.  Sadly it will be the last time we will see Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, Richard Armitage, Luke Evans, Orlando Bloom, Lee Pace, Evangeline Lilly, Aidan Turner, James Nesbitt and many more cast members together as they finally say goodbye to The Hobbit.

The film will hit cinemas on December 12th, 2014.  Here is the trailer below:

    • Yes, it was lacking a little bit in the Thorin department. There is definitely room for some more! 🙂
