A new trailer has just dropped and this time it is for Denzel Washington’s upcoming movie, THE EQUALIZER.
It is a remake of another classic TV show from the 1980s based on former secret service agent, Robert McCall, who has transformed into a vigilante.
Washington has taken on the role of McCall, whose life is transformed after an encounter with a young prostitute, Teri (Chloe Grace Moretz) who he witnesses being assaulted.
Despite having retired from his days of fighting, he is spurred on to avenge the attack and ruin those responsible, but it is not as straightforward as he thought – his revengeful plot takes an unprecedented twist after he realises the people involved are part of a deadly Russian mafia crew. Â (Oh dear.)
Marton Csokas, from LORD OF THE RINGS, takes on the role of Teddy, a brutal mob enforcer who looks set to be at the mercy of McCall and his equalisation.
Washington seems to be very comfortable working under the direction of Antoine Fuqua, with whom Washington won the Best Actor Oscar for ‘Training Day’.
The movie version of the popular TV show looks to provide action, drama and edge of the seat moments. Â You won’t have to wait long to see it, as it is released in the UK on the 26th September 2014.
