The world premiere of the Netflix original series Sense8 was held on Wednesday evening in San Francisco, CA.

The premiere included creators Lana Wachowski and J. Michael Strazcynski, executive producer Grant Hill, director James McTeigue and cast members Daryl Hannah, Naveen Andrews, Brian J. Smith, Tuppence Middleton, Max Riemelt, Tina Desai, Jamie Clayton, Miguel Angel Silvestre, Doona Bae, Aml Ameen, Freema Agyeman, Erendira Ibarra, Ness Bautista, and Christian Oliver.
The sci-fi drama tells the story of eight strangers from different parts of the world who following a tragic death become mentally and emotionally connected to each other.
The series title Sense8 is a play on the word ‘sensate’ that means aware.
