Where the sun shines brightly….
TBS has ordered a ten-episode new comedy from DAILY SHOWÂ veterans Jason Jones and Samantha Bee, who will write act as executive producers and write the pilot.
Inspired by Bee and Jones’ experiences of family getaways, the series, which is currently untitled, is set to follow a couple as they embark on a road trip to Florida with their children.
Nate (Jason Jones) packs his wife Robin (Natalie Zea), rebellious daughter Delilah (Ashley Gerasimovich), and simple son Jared (Liam Carroll) into the family car for what he assumes will be the adventure of a lifetime. This of course goes exactly according to plan without disaster just like JOURNEY 2: THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND.
Production will begin in the summer for a fall premiere, with the pilot set to be directed by Steve Pink. If the series is successful, future seasons will focus on a different family adventure.
