Star Wars filming is delayed.
Harrison Ford’s broken leg halts production.

Sad news for fans of J.J Abrams Star Wars –  filming is delayed due to Harrison Ford’s recent injury woes and production on ‘STAR WARS: EPISODE VII’ is to be suspended for two weeks.

Disney officially confirmed on Sunday that shooting would be halted for two weeks in August to adjust the production schedule following Ford’s injury.

The 71-year-old American suffered a broken leg in June whilst filming the sequel at Pinewood Studios after a spacecraft door fell on the actor’s leg .  Recovery from the injury may not be as swift as first hoped, after revealing it could take up to two months to heal.

Despite Disney previously saying that Ford’s injury wouldn’t cause any delays, this does not appear to be the case now.

The studio have confirmed that the movie is still “on track” to finish filming in the Autumn with an expected release date of December 2015.
