Lionsgate has revealed the release date for their upcoming movie, SICARIO 2: SOLDADO – the film will arrive in cinemas June 29th, 2018.
In the first movie, SICARIO, the film was helmed by Denis Villeneuve, but for the latest instalment it is Stefano Sollima calling the shots, bringing to life a script penned by Taylor Sheridan.
In SICARIO 2: SOLDADO, the drug war on the US – Mexico border has escalated as the cartels have begun trafficking terrorists across the US border. To fight the ever-escalating war, federal agent Matt Graver (Josh Brolin) reteams with the mercurial Alejandro (Benicio Del Toro) to eliminate the problem.Â
SICARIO 2: SOLDADO follows on from the critically acclaimed SICARIO and is led by Academy Award®-nominee Josh Brolin (Sicario, Only The Brave), Academy Award@ winner and BAFTA nominee Benicio Del Toro (Sicario, Inherent Vice), Isabela Moner (Transformers: The Last Knight), Jeffrey Donovan (Sicario), Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (Murder on the Orient Express, The Magnificent Seven) and Academy Award®-nominee Catherine Keener (Get Out).
