As the previous episode ended with Anyone Who Had A Heart going to number one, it only seemed right that in the final part she try for another one. This came in the form of You’re my World.
After her second number one, Cilla tries to crack America with hit Alfie, but unfortunately fails.
Throw into the mix her rocky relationship with Bobby (Brian offers him a record deal, which he turns down for Cilla), Brian’s private life and the death of Bobby’s dad and it seems like Cilla’s singing career could be no more.
All is not lost however as, after some unfortunate events with Brian, Cilla gets the opportunity to host her very own show. The rest as they say, is history.
Sheridan Smith‘s portrayal of Cilla is well and truly one to remember which just shows how versatile she is as an actress. I don’t know about you, but here at Film and TV Now, we certainly can’t wait to see what comes next for the Epsworth actress.
If you loved Sheridan’s portrayal of Cilla as much as we did, you can now vote for her as Best Actress in the Tv Times 2014 Awards.
