For a couple of years now it has been whispered and begged that the amazing Peter Jackson (THE HOBBIT TRILOGY, THE LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY) may grace all fans of the old aged time lord with an episode that he would direct.
In September 2012, Jackson did reveal that it would be something he would be interested in, but he was currently in the middle of filming his next big franchise, THE HOBBIT. Since then there seems to have been more discussions regarding his involvement, last week Jackson uploaded a video onto his Facebook account of him polishing his Oscar’s while discussing Steven Moffat, writer of DOCTOR WHO, wanting him to direct an episode of DOCTOR WHO.
In the little video, Peter Capaldi (THE MUSKETEERS, THE THICK OF IT) who currently plays the time travelling Time Lord, makes an appearance as he tries to get Jackson to sign a contract while also fighting off a Darlek.
In my personal opinion, I would be absolutely over the moon if Jackson decided to direct an episode I think he would make it big, bold, adventourous and push the limits of the Doctor.
