It is that time of year where our thoughts are starting to turn to the festive season and Christmas would not be complete without the festive lights – and this year they are set to be even more spectacular.

Regent Street has partnered with 20th Century Fox for the latest instalment of the Night at the Museum franchise, NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: SECRET OF THE TOMB in celebration of the world famous Christmas lights.

This year the Regent Street Christmas lights will be switched on as part of a spectacular entertainment show for all the family.

From 12 noon, on Sunday 16 November visitors can enjoy activities on the street and offers in many of the stores, and take advantage of the traffic-free environment to enjoy a spot of Christmas shopping.

The event culminates in the stage show beginning at 4pm, with the switch on moment due to take place at approximately 5pm. This will be followed by a spectacular fireworks display lighting up the sky over Regent Street.

Activities include a prize draw from Watches of Switzerland to win an exclusive Baume & Mercier Clifton watch, the chance to meet Hamley and Hattie, the bears of Hamley’s, plus an array of discounts and in-store activities in many of the Regent Street shops, which will stay open until 6pm.

20th Century Fox are also helping bring Regent Street to life this Christmas with an exciting NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: SECRET OF THE TOMB APP, where users can unlock exclusive film content, special offers and great prizes by scanning symbols placed up and down the street and within participating retailers. The app also makes use of in-store iBeacon technology to alert passers-by to the location of the symbols.

Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb is a family adventure that sees Larry (Ben Stiller) leave New York City for London. Favourite and new characters are united on an epic quest to save the magic before it is gone forever.

The film will be released in cinemas nationwide on 19 December.

Download the Regent Street Shopping App with Beacon technology and plan your special Christmas in Regent Street.
