Lionsgate has released a new trailer for MOTHER’S DAY, the third instalment in Garry Marshall’s Pretty Woman and Runaway Bride holiday trilogy that includes box office hits VALENTINE’S DAY and NEW YEAR’S EVE. Take a look at the trailer in the video player above.
The new romantic comedy stars Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson, Jason Sudeikis and Julia Roberts.
Written by Anya Kochoff-Romano and Lily Hollander, MOTHER’S DAY will, like Marshall’s previous holiday ensembles, offer interconnected stories tied to the central titular theme. The movie will be intersecting stories of different kinds of mums, having very different kinds of weeks in the days leading up to Mother’s Day.
Whether it’s dealing with a new love, a lost love, or no love at all, MOTHER’S DAY IS billed to be sweet, complex, funny and moving – just like mothers across the world.
Although Marshall’s VALENTINE’S DAY took in $216 million at the worldwide box office, NEW YEAR’S EVE took $142 million, so it will be interesting to see if this film also succeeds globally.
MOTHER’S DAY opens on June 10th, 2016.
