The Interview

A new trailer has been released for the upcoming James Franco and Seth Rogen comedy THE INTERVIEW and the duo finds themselves in a spot of bother...

THE INTERVIEW sees Franco as Dave Skylark, the not-too-sparky, but very popular host of celebrity tabloid TV show Skylark Tonight. When he and producer/best pal Aaron Rapoport (Rogen) learn that North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un is a supporter of their work, they manage to land an interview with the tyrant, seeing it as their chance to be legitimized as journalists.

But with their travel to Pyongyang set, the CIA decide that this is their golden opportunity to strike and the interview with Dave and Aaron gives them the best shot they have at assassinating Kim and set about finding a way for the two least qualified men imaginable to off a world leader…

In the action-comedy trailer, we see the bromance between the two hilarious lead characters who have worked together for more than 1000 episodes. Of course the trailer sets us up for the hilarity which will inevitably ensue within the film. When informed that “…the CIA would love it if you could take him (Kim Jong-un) out,” Rogen’s naive Rapoport doesn’t quite get the hidden message behind that statement:  “Take him out for drinks?” We love it!

Rogen co-wrote and directed the film with Evan Goldberg, which hits UK cinemas February 6th.
