A new poster has been released for the upcoming Marvel film ANT-MAN.
The man underneath the suit in the poster is Paul Rudd, who plays Scott Lang, a version of the character gifted the suit by its original owner Hank Pym, played by Michael Douglas.
The suit has the impressive ability to shrink in size and for those unaware of Ant-Man’s other skills, he is able to communicate with insects.
Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
The film also stars Darren Cross as Corey Stoll, Evangeline Lily as Hope Van Dyne, Judy Greer, Michael Pena, Bobby Cannavale and John Slattery and Hayley Atwell in flashback sequences as Howard Stark and Peggy Carter.
Director Edgar Wright penned the original script and was set to direct, but creative differences led to his departure and in the end, it was Peyton Reed who picked up directing duties and Adam McKay put his own stamp on Wright’s original script.
ANT-MAN is set for release on July 17th, 2015.
