The Musketeers will return for a second series.

Everyone’s favourite swashbuckling adventure is back for a second series.  Luke Pasqualino, Tom Burke, Santiago Cabrera and Howard Charles are set to don their costumes as D’Artagnan, Athos, Aramis and Porthos, to wave their swords in Adrian Hodges’ popular take on The Musketeers once again.  However, the series return will include the new Doctor Who star, Peter Capaldi, due to his commitment to the BBC sci-fi series.

It didn’t take the BBC long to make the decision after only three episodes into the ten-part first series, in the new adaptation of Alexandre Dumas’ classic tales, which is set on the streets of 17th-century Paris.  The episodes aired have already provided many swashbuckling, action moments and is set to provide even more entertainment with the cameos of Vinnie Jones, Sean Pertwee, Annabelle Wallis, Ashley Walters, Tara Fitzgerald and Zoe Tapper.
