X Files

X-FILES fans, rejoice! We have finally got a first look at the new, reinvigorated season of THE X-FILES has been released online, which you can watch below.

For some, the time of THE X-FILES is over, but many of the fans of the show, the return of the series can’t come quick enough.

In the trailer, we see an older David Duchovny, the stubbly FBI agent Fox Mulder looking serious and business-like as always.

We also get to see his partner in the paranormal Dana Scully, played by the brilliant Gillian Anderson and it seems as though they have brought THE X-FILES into life appropriate for the modern day and in keeping with many popular TV series such as LUTHER and HOMELAND to name but a few.

THE X-FILES originally premiered in September 1993. Over the course of its nine-season run, the influential series went from breakout sci-fi favorite to massive global hit, and became one of the most successful television dramas of all time. The show, which earned 16 Emmy Awards, five Golden Globes and a Peabody Award, follows FBI special agents Scully (Anderson) and Mulder (Duchovny), as they investigate unexplained cases – “X-Files” – for which the only answers involve paranormal phenomena.

Both actors remained busy after the popular series, with Duchovny in CALIFORNICATION AND Anderson most recently in the hit BBC drama THE FALL.

Take a look at the trailer for the series below:

The new six-part series will air in the US on January 25th, 2016, but no UK date has been confirmed just yet.
