Spectre Sam Mendes

The identities of Spectre’s femme fatales have been declassified.

USA Today has revealed yet to be seen images and information about the ladies of Bond’s latest adventure.

The Bond Girl has been a staple of the James Bond movie ever since 1962s Dr No. It’s a role that has been derided and debated but has come a long way from the innuendo named damsels-in-distress of the early movies. Bond Girls epitomise Bond Movies in the same way as the Aston Martin DB5 or ‘shaken, not stirred’ martinis.

Here are the latest Bond Girls who will no doubt kiss or try to kill the superspy:

Naomie Harris

Spectre

Naomie Harris will return to the role of Eve Moneypenny, former agent turned M’s assistant. The actress said of her character: ‘[her last encounter with Bond] made her reassess what she was doing as a profession and what she wanted to do with the rest of her life. She wants to support in a different way.’

Monica Belluci

Spectre

Italian actress Monica Belluci will portray Lucia Sciarra, whom strikes up a relationship with Bond in the wake of her Mafioso husband’s murder. Belluci said of her character: ‘She comes from a man’s world…But when the attraction between them takes place and she realizes her feminine power on him, then she trusts him to save her.’

Léa Seydoux

spectre

Léa Seydoux will play Dr Madeleine Swann, whom just happens to be the daughter of an assassin (what an amazing coincidence). Bond will locate her and discover that wants nothing to do with him.

Stephanie Sigman

Spectre

Finally, Mexican actress Stephanie Sigman will star as the enigmatic Estella (nothing says mysterious like a character without a surname).

Directed by Sam Mendes, the feature also stars: Andrew Scott, Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Rory Kinnear, Ben Whishaw, Dave Bautista, Jesper Christensen and Christoph Waltz.

SPECTRE will arrive in cinemas this November.
