Mark Ruffalo talks music
Hollywood actor Mark Ruffalo reveals his inability to sing.

Hollywood actor Mark Ruffalo  has revealed that despite appearing in a film based on music and singing, it is definitely not his forte.

In an exclusive interview with entertainment channel, London Live, the actor discussed his latest film BEGIN AGAIN. The OSCAR-nominated actor and director talks to London Go’s Simon Thompson about his new romantic-comedy set in the music scene of New York City.

The hilarious interview revealed a few home truths about Ruffalo’s singing ability – basically, he has none, revealing it has never helped him to woo the ladies:

“I was having a date with a girl and I thought it was going very well so I put on some music… The Police… and she was liking that and I started to sing along. And then I realised she was just staring at me.  Then just out of her mouth came, ‘You’re…. such a dork’. I don’t think she realised she’d said that but that was the last time I ever went out with her.”

Oh dear! We are sure many of us wouldn’t have reacted that way… apart from the director of the movie John Carney of course…

“I did sing in the movie but it was cut out. I think it might have been that bad.  And I’m terrible at karaoke. I don’t like it. It’s not a pleasant experience for me. Or the audience.”

Well, maybe singing to woo the ladies has not helped the Hollywood hulk in the past, but a romantic date in London could prove to be more effective if he went to the right place:

“Probably going up the Thames on one of those boats up by Richmond. That seems like it’s be pretty romantic.”

Don’t miss the interview which is aired on tonight’s episode of London Go at 6.30pm.
