Is this just a sign that famous cult-classic THE CROW shouldn’t be made? It looks like Luke Evans might be out!

The remake of Alex Proyas‘ dark drama about the resurrection of a murdered young rock star out for revenge on his and his fiancee’s death, has had it’s fair share of changes already.

With Corin Hardy just announced to sit in the directors chair, the film had blown through a long list of possible masterminds including, F. Javier Gutierrez, Stephen Norrington and Juan Carlos Fresnadillo.

Before Evans had been picked to play the Gothic anti-hero, other impressive names went through the rumour-mill, including; James McAvoy, Bradley Cooper, Channing Tatum, Mark Wahlberg, Tom Hiddleston and Alexander Skarsgard.

Well, it looks as though Hardy will have to bag a new A-Lister as THHE HOBBIT star, Luke Evans had this to say when recently speaking to Den of Geek;

“It’s not, no. No at the minute The Crow is not, not for me, I think it’s a little… I mean I’m sure it’s going to go ahead at some point, but I have other projects that are greenlit and ready to go and projects that I’m very interested in and you know, I can’t wait much longer! [laughs]”

Boohoo, we actually had some hope for the, perhaps unnecessary, reboot if Evans was involved.

Keep an eye out to see who’s next up for the role!
