THE LEGO MOVIE has become one of this years most widely loved blockbusters with great voice acting from the likes of Chris Pratt, Will Arnett, Elizabeth Banks, Alison Brie and Charlie Day.
With Christopher Miller and Phi Lord writing the sequel, they’ve confirmed that they’ll be dedicating some time to creating more brilliant female characters.
Speaking to the BBC, they mentioned; “It’s important to us that the movie plays broadly and that we inspire young women, as much as we inspire young men.”
We couldn’t agree more! Even though certain individuals in the industry are working hard to get better, quality roles for women, it still has a long way to go and this is definitely a step in the right direction.
We’re super excited about this confirmation, but unfortunately we’ve got a long time to wait, since the sequel has been pushed back to 2018.
