NIGHTCRAWLER star Jake Gyllenhaal stars in boxing movie SOUTHPAW and looks completely ripped in the first released image.Â
The END OF WATCH actor recently slimmed right down for his role in Dan Gilroy‘s NIGHTCRAWLER, but now looks as if he’s been lifting hard in this new drama.Â
Directed by TRAINING DAY’s Antoine Faqua, Gyllenhaal’s latest role will be Bill Hope, a left handed boxer whose rise to success leaves his personal life in tatters, while he tries to win back the love of his daughter.
The project has been long in the works with Eminem previously attached to the role with SON’S OF ANARCHY’s Kurt Sutter writing the screenplay.Â
Gyllenhaal has reportedly loaded on 15 lbs of muscle for the role and we can certainly tell! Can you? Take a look at the picture below:
Co-starring Rachel McAdams, Naomi Harris,Forest Whitaker and 50 Cent, SOUTHPAW will be released in cinemas sometime in 2015.Â
