Nocturnal Animals Jake Gyllenhaal

Jake Gyllenhaal, Amy Adams, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Tom Ford light up Venice Film Festival

Hollywood has hit Italy over the last few days for the prestigious Venice Film Festival, which boasts a fantastic schedule and many premieres.

Jake Gyllenhaal, Amy Adams and Aaron Taylor-Johnson are at the event for the World Premiere of their latest movie, NOCTURNAL ANIMALS alongside the film’s director, Tom Ford. They arrived in style on Friday morning (September 2nd) at Palazzi del Casino in Venice, Italy.

Whilst taking the time to pose with fans for selfies, sign autographs and have a chat, the group had other commitments – in the form of the waiting world’s media for an official photo call. You can take a look at their photos in the gallery below.

The actors are now busy kicking off press for the upcoming film which also stars Michael Shannon, Isla Fisher, Armie Hammer and Laura Linney. NOCTURNAL ANIMALS has been garnering a great response so far with critics applauding Ford’s directorial skills and the performances from Gyllenhaal and co.

Tom Ford‘s A SINGLE MAN remains among the best directorial debuts to come in the past decade and now he is back with his second outing.

The fashion designer-turned-director’s new film is based on Austin Wright’s 1993 novel, and it is a story that is told in two parts. Part one centres on a woman (Adams) who receives a mysterious package form her ex-husband, whom she divorced 20 years ago. The package contains a book manuscript written by her ex, who wants her opinion on the story.

The second part is the story from the manuscript, which centres on a man (Gyllenhaal) whose blissful family vacation abruptly turns violent.

Amy Adams is pulling double duty at the festival this year as she has already premiered her other new movie, ARRIVAL.

Next up on the press tour of the movie for the cast is the Toronto Film Festival and BFI London Film Festival.
