Jodie Foster‘s fast paced drama, MONEY MONSTER, is already gaining shape with the casting of mega A-Lister, George Clooney and now rumour has it British actor Jack O’Connell and superstar Julia Roberts will be joining the cast also.Â
Foster will direct the film, written by Jamie Linden, which Deadline describes as a thriller about a “TV stock tout who is held hostage on air by a man who followed the huckster’s advice, lost his money and put his young family in precarious straits”.
It seems Roberts will be playing the producer of the show, Nancy Fenn and O’Connell will be taking on the part of the lead antagonist of a working-class family man that’s pushed to his very limits.Â
It’s no surprise that O’Connell is joining such an established cast, he’s definitely our one to watch with amazing performances in ’71, STARRED UP and his latest film, UNBROKEN.Â
MONEY MONSTER sounds like it’s going to be a non-stop thrill ride, with some amazing character performances.
