THE CAST OF PADDINGTON AND CREATORS PARTICIPATE IN A QUESTION & ANSWER SESSION AT THE MAYFAIR HOTEL
“Maybe they gave it a PG because of Hugh – dressed up as a woman!” – David Heyman
On Saturday afternoon, the lucky audience at an exclusive private screening in London’s Mayfair Hotel were given a treat after watching everyone’s favourite bear in family film PADDINGTON, as the director of the film, Paul King, the producer, David Heyman and cast Hugh Bonneville, Madeline Harris and Samuel Joslin were all in attendance and participated in a very interesting question and answer session.

The creators and cast were all smiles as they sat calmly on their chairs under the spotlights on the stage floor of the screening room in the Mayfair Hotel and they all took it in turns to discuss their thoughts and participation in the film, which has been adapted from Michael Bond’s beloved books, which follows the comic misadventures of a polite young bear with an endearing talent for comic chaos.
The writer and director of the film, Paul King discusses making Paddington and where the idea came from. Being a huge fan of the books and TV series proved to be an inspiration for the talented director:
David Heyman is the producer of PADDINGTON and he responded to the question regarding the PG rating of the film – and blamed Hugh Bonneville in comic fashion for the rating!
In the film, Henry Brown is played by Hugh Bonneville and he was also on hand to talk about the development and special effects of Paddington. He was amazed by the final product – and so were we!
The actor continued to discuss his reaction upon reading the script and his eagerness to become involved:
Young Madeline Harris plays Judy in the film and she takes the opportunity to discuss her very first film role:
The youngest member of the cast is Samuel Joslin and he is no stranger to acting, but he has still managed to learn a few tips along the way…
Don’t forget, the film premiere is on Sunday at 1:30pm and you can watch all of the action via live streaming.
Paddington’s first big screen adventure will be opening in UK cinemas from November 28th.
