With two weeks to wait until the release of THE IMITATION GAME, we are being teased with temptation and anticipation by the unveiling of yet another exclusive clip from the film starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley.

StudioCanal have already revealed the final poster and a clip where we see Alan Turing (Cumberbatch) being interviewed by Charles Dance about cracking the code.

In the new clip above entitled “Six Minutes” we see Turing and Stewart Menzies (Mark Strong) meet Joan Clarke (Knightley) while recruiting code-breakers to Bletchley Park. In what would normally take Turing eight minutes, it took only 5-minutes-34-seconds for Joan to crack the code and impress the intelligent code breaker.

Both Cumberbatch and Knightley are superbly supported in the film by Matthew Goode, Mark Strong, Rory Kinnear, Charles Dance, Allen Leech and Matthew Beard.

THE IMITATION GAME won best film at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival and is one of the the most talked about films at the moment with lots of Oscar buzz surrounding it already.

Morten Tyldum’s movie offers a dramatic portrayal of the life and work of Alan Turing, one of Britain’s most extraordinary unsung heroes, and one of the world’s greatest innovators.

The pioneer of modern-day computing, Alan Turing is credited with cracking the German Enigma code and the film is a “nail-biting race against time by Turing and his brilliant team at Britain’s top-secret code-breaking centre, Bletchley Park, during the darkest days of World War II.” Turing, whose contributions and genius significantly shortened the war, saving thousands of lives, was the eventual victim of an unenlightened British Establishment, but his work and legacy live on. Norwegian filmmaker Morten Tyldum (Headhunters) is directing from a screenplay by Graham Moore, based on the book “Alan Turing: The Enigma” by Andrew Hodges.

Here is the trailer for the enticing and emotional film:

THE IMITATION GAME is set for release November 14th in the UK and November 21st in the US.
