Game of Thrones’ Rose Leslie and Dirk Gently’s Darren Boyd join Idris Elba in the highly anticipated two-part series.

Luther

The first trailer for LUTHER has arrived and this time, his reputation precedes him.

The wait is almost over after what seems like an age since we last saw Idris Elba‘s maverick cop Luther doing his stuff on the mean streets of London – and what a welcome return it is.

Unfortunately, it is not going to be a long running TV series, LUTHER is instead a two-part series of 60-minute episodes, which will air on BBC One this December.

Luther has been keeping his distance in a rural cottage on the edge of England, but is brought back from the wilderness when the Met bring him a horrific piece of news.

Everyone’s favourite detective has a bit of a tough time ahead with so much contend with, including a cannibal killer who is on the loose. However, as we can see in the trailer below, help is at hand in the form of GAME OF THRONES’ Rose Leslie (Ygritte) who has joined the hit show as DS Emma Lane and SPY’s Darren Boyd as Theo Bloom.

It is good to have Luther back…

Take a look at the trailer for the two-part special below:

LUTHER returns at 9pm on Tuesday 15th December on BBC1.
