We can hear the screams of anguish and sadness now at this prospect: Hugh Jackman appears to be hanging up his claws after WOLVERINE 3.Â
Will this be Jackman’s last appearance as the Mutant? Quite possibly after the teasing hint he has dropped on social media…
The Australian took to Instagram to post a picture of Wolverine’s claws with the caption: “WOLVERINE…ONE LAST TIME. HJ.”
Is this photo a hint that he will no longer reprise his role in the future? The third stand-alone Wolverine movie, which is yet to receive an official title, is set to begin production in early 2016 according to director James Mangold.
If it does turn out to be true, it seems Jackman has had quite the change of heart after comments he made last month that he “wants to play Wolverine til I die“.
We guess it will remain to be seen what decision he will make, but until then we are in denial that his claws will be put away for good!
The third outing of WOLVERINE has been slated for release on March 3rd, 2017.
