Hugh Jackman and Taron Egerton are set to star alongside each other in a movie about Olympic skier Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards.
The man we know and love as Wolverine, will star with his young counterpart, Egerton, who is enjoying lots of success in recent films KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE and TESTAMENT OF YOUTH, in the yet to be titled movie. The biopic will be brought to the big screen by director Dexter Fletcher, according to the Daily Mail.
Egerton will star as Edwards, with Jackman as ski expert Chuck Berghorn, who helps the down-on-his-luck skier prepare for the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary.
Egerton will be reunited with his KINGSMAN director, Matthew Vaughn who will produce the project. In order to land the part, the young Brit reportedly beat some stiff competition in the form of Jamie Bell, George MacKay and Daniel Kaluuya.
